孟明美此次个展主要通过多媒体元素，结合自己创作的诗歌，摄影作品以及电影短片等艺术去探讨同一个话题“陌生人”-游离与社会与自然。“我们是自然人，也是社会人，同时更是陌生人。” –艺术家孟明美希望透过此次展出的内容，唤醒大家去重新关注自己，关注这个社会，关注这个世界。“人类越来越把自己陌生化，不论是对于社会还是自然世界的本身。”展馆里主要分为五个系列，从开篇的一首关于“陌生人”的诗开始，围绕主题用一些拼凑分离的图片按照世界地图的构型排布成列，通过色彩与内容，从宏观的层面去理解一个陌生的感觉和概念。在展馆入口设有“Take”盒子，参观者可以从一开始取走一张空白木片，在参观的过程期间写下自己想到的任何关于“社会“自然”及“陌生人”的词，投入独立的“Dump Words”的盒子里。进入展馆，里面摄影作品通过“社会”-“陌生人”-“自然”概念相互呼应陈列，同时隔着空间有另一面墙陈列着四幅黑白作品，通过全景拍摄，展现出一种陌生的游离状态，以及我们现在存在的陌生感。“我拍摄的两个电影短片也是根据这个主题，通过比较意识的视觉传达手法，一个色彩十分艳丽，探讨自然以及逃离社会的陌生人；另一个纯黑白故事叙述，追问逃离自然的陌生人如何寻找正确的‘标签’去定义自己。”孟明美说，“一个展就是一个故事，也是很多个问题，我不想解决问题，我只想通过我的作品，让更多人意识到那些问题，并且能够勇敢提出来。如果你自己看我展出的每一幅作品以及布置手法还有电影里的每一个细节以及那些台词，这些都是在解答和提问过程中去理解我们‘陌生人’这个角色，去接受社会，与自然这个状态，以及如何去处理这层关系的‘游离’。”孟明美希望每个观展的人能够找到自己理解，在接受与尊重中，收获更好的自己。
