（《世界华文媒体》2017年10月31日纽约报道）世界华文大众传播媒体协会、国际中文记者联合会秘书长勾芍人博士于今日前往美国纽约，访问联合国新闻部（Department of Public Information） ，受到新闻部新闻和媒体司(News and Media Division)司长江华的热情接待。

协会秘书长勾芍人博士向江华司长介绍了世界华文大众传播媒体协会从1999年 在加拿大多伦多召开成立大会以来的发展情况，以及国际中文记者联合会(International Federation of Chinese Journalists)2016年成立的背景。国际中文记者联合会由成立于1998年的世界华文大众传播媒体协会发起并创立，为加拿大联邦政府登记注册的非营利新闻社团，其主要宗旨是为全球范围内的中文记者提供专业新闻和法律援助，维护记者权益，国际中文记者联合会核心成员由资深新闻专业人士组成， 创会主席由来自台湾、有40年媒体经历的资深报人、在美独资经营拉斯韦加斯新闻报及LVCNN.com网站的吴治欧社长担任 。国际中文记者联合会与世界华文大众传播媒体协会的工作分工有所不同: 国际中文记者联合会将主要专注于专业新闻业务交流、为世界华文大众传播媒体协会理事会媒体和记者提供法律援助，并代表世界华文大众传播媒体协会为会员颁发国际记者证。同时展开与联合国、其它国际新闻机构、相关国际机构、相关国家和地区的新闻业务联络和交流。 世界华文大众传播媒体协会 (World Association of Chinese Mass Media， 简称WACMM)于1998年8月4日经加拿大联邦政府登记注册，于1999年10月11日在加拿大多伦多召开成立大会，是世界新闻史上第一家全球性中文媒体专业协会，也是世界新闻史上的一个重要里程碑，并具有广泛的国际影响。
1999年10月， 在BBC担任中文部负责人职务的江华曾受邀参加在多伦多举行的世界华文大众传播媒体协会的成立大会。2012年12月3日, 世界华文大众传播媒体协会秘书长勾芍人博士在联合国新闻部代理负责人、多媒体司代理司长江华陪同下, 访问了联合国, 并参观了联合国新闻部和安理会。

江华司长是世界华文大众传播媒体协会1999年召开成立大会以来的见证人，她对世界华文大众传播媒体协会理事会从当初的几十家理事媒体发展到现在的近200家，感到非常欣慰。
1946年，联合国大会表决通过第13号决议，成立联合国新闻部。作为联合国面向公众的声音，新闻部通过广播、电视、出版物、网络等信息渠道培养公众的全球意识，增进他们对联合国工作的理解。新闻和媒体司为联合国的优先事项和活动制作并发布新闻和信息，它与媒体机构和其他特定观众的建立伙伴关系，它帮助和支持记者和新闻机构报道联合国的工作。新闻和媒体司主要通过电视、广播电台和互联网讲述联合国的故事，它与世界各地的媒体合作伙伴一起，提高对联合国的目标认识，突出它的工作成。
江华司长就联合国新闻和信息通过世界中文媒体进行传播，推广联合国工作与协会秘书长勾芍人进行了广泛交流，并达成初步合作意向。
江华司长毕业于英国伦敦大学，获政治经济和法律硕士。曾在英国广播公司（ＢＢＣ）工作17年。2002年4月，江华成为联合国秘书长科菲·安南的副发言人，同时也成为联合国第一位华裔新闻发言人。先后担任联合国新闻部代理负责人、多媒体司代理司长，现为联合国新闻部新闻和媒体司司长 。
陪同秘书长勾芍人博士访问联合国新闻部的还有总部位于美国纽约的久安电视国际传媒集团首席执行官、世界华文大众传播媒体协会、国际中文记者联合会理事文久先生。久安电视国际传媒集团以博爱维护世界和平的理念为宗旨，努力参与和配合联合国千年计划、人道救援、救助妇女和儿童等各项事务的宣传，推进世界不同族裔、不同文化背景的包容与和平共处，共图发展，是活跃在联合国的非营利华文电视媒体机构 。
